EVANS - G & S
This engine has an Evans four-cycle cylinder on a “box bed” Gibbs and
Sterrett frame made in Corry, PA in the 1880s.
Conversion was more complex requiring timing gears, an additional
Evans flywheel, and an Evans clutch.
Note the huge 24 x 24 inch hand hewn timber it is on.
It pumped an oil well near Chicora.
