ALBERGER

This engine, built in Buffalo, NY, is the only tandem single acting engine in the museum.  It has two cylinders in tandem and works on the head end of each to produce 80 hp.  It is 13 x 13 bore and stroke.  It is circa 1900.  Original use was to power a Deane Triplex water pump at the Mt. Jewett, PA water works.  It is undergoing restoration in this photo and it is incomplete.
