Reid Rod Line Pavilion - Introduction

The Reid Rod Line exhibit is a working demonstration of oil pumping using a rod line system.  Rod lines were a common method of using a single engine to pump a number of wells.  The engine operated a pumping power that pulled rod lines extending to the oil wells.  Each pull on a rod line produced one pumping stroke at a well.
